M4Pris is focused on developing a peer mentoring programme, including a mentor training specifically tailored to the needs of prison staff and that can be implemented to different national prison contexts.

Effective mentoring programs require comprehensive mentor training, which is essential for enhancing the quality of the mentoring relationship. This training is crucial for preparing and guiding prospective mentors in their roles and tt serves as a cornerstone for the success of the mentoring relationship.

Target group: the target group of this training course is prison staff since they are directly involved in the Peer Mentoring Programme, dedicated to decreasing levels of job-related stress and burnout among prison staff.

This course was developed as a comprehensive and evidence-based peer mentoring programme for prison staff. The main objective is to prepare prison staff to be a mentor and therefore, it targets prison staff who will undertake such role.

The mentors' training will be conducted in a blended-learning format, a model that combines asynchronous online sessions (consisting of viewing content and activities on a Learning Management System) and synchronous sessions (online and face-to-face). The trainees must visualise the content autonomously and before each syncronous session.

By the end of the mentor training, participants should be able to:
